Meet the IT Team Next Door

Hello! We're Oliver and James, two longtime tech lovers who wanted to make IT support feel a little more human. After months of planning (and plenty of coffee), we're thrilled to launch Support Squad, our small but mighty local team dedicated to helping businesses in the DMV stay connected, secure, and stress-free. Tech moves fast, but now you don’t have to keep up alone. Think of us as the folks down the street who love solving tech puzzles and actually enjoy answering the phone when you call.

We offer 24/7 support from people who know your name and your systems. We help you figure out which new tools are worth your time, and we tailor everything to fit your budget and your business.

A Letter from the Co-Founder

Hey,

I've always been "The Tech Guy." As early as middle school, teachers would pull me aside during class to fix computers, hook up projectors, or troubleshoot network issues. Some trusted me more than the actual support staff.

But it started even earlier. As a kid, I would take apart my toys just to see how they worked. I spent hours combining components from other toys to make something cooler or faster, and I did the same with old family computers to upgrade my first machine. If it was electronic, I wanted to understand it. My family kept bins of old tech in closets, and I would dig through them like treasure. You wouldn't believe how much time I spent playing with an Apple Newton, a device that was already eight years old by the time I was born.

I didn't always know exactly what I wanted to do, so I chased opportunities that let me explore and learn. I built websites, solved strange tech problems, and figured out how everything connected behind the scenes. Along the way, I discovered something important: I'm happiest when I'm helping people. I love troubleshooting, thinking through how systems interact, and seeing things work the way they should. But more than that, I love being the person who makes someone's day a little easier.

I'm naturally empathetic and patient, and I believe technology should lift people up, not make their lives harder. That's exactly why we started Support Squad. We've watched tech support drift into something cold and impersonal—buried in forums, forms, and automated replies. We wanted to build something different. Something personal, responsive, and real.

If you're looking for IT support that actually supports you, we'd love the chance to work with you and be part of what you're building.

Looking forward,
James Carter
Co-Founder
